Many Types of Horror

Horror typography is a vernacular art form that has been doing serious cultural work without recognition. This 300-page catalogue traces the graphic language of the genre, from elegant gothic serifs to blood-soaked letterforms built for maximum dread. The accompanying exhibition brought that research into physical form through large-scale paintings, woven throws, tufted rugs and film projections.

"Typography full of expression, dripping, oozing and screeching."
