The Mongrel in Orion

The Mongrel in Orion brings together three artists who share an obsession with popular culture, collage and the kind of painting and drawing that digs beneath the surface. Different approaches, overlapping instincts, and enough shared reference points to fill a record collection. The title alone contains multitudes, a film production house, a Metallica track, a Jack Kirby comic character and a constellation. Like the work itself, it refuses to mean just one thing.
